Event: International Women's Day

Welcome to an event organized by the UN Association of Stockholm in recognition of International Women’s Day!

With a focus on the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, we will highlight the crucial role of women in peace processes, conflict prevention, and sustainable security.

The evening will feature a panel discussion with researchers as well as civil society actors and activists, including representatives from the UN and the organization Kvinna till Kvinna. Together, they will reflect on the current state of the Women, Peace and Security agenda - more than two decades after United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 1325 - and discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
