Introduction to using our CNC router for wood
In this course, you'll get to design a tool path for a simple object, and then cut it out in real wood on our CNC router (portalfräs).
The course will start with going through CAM (how to design tool paths) and then everyone will go down to the metal workshop to learn how to set up the machine. You'll each get to try to use the machine.
It is useful, though not required, to know some basic CAD modelling beforehand. Here's a video to help you with that.
Requirements: You must bring a laptop to the course, which should have the free vrsion of Fusion 360 installed and activated.
Language: English or Swedish, depending on the course participants
Meeting place: AWL kitchen on the first floor.
Please make sure to arrive at least 5 minutes before the course starts.
As usual, you are required to be a member of Stockholm Makerspace to participate in our courses. You must also be registered through this registration page on Simplesignup in order to take the course.
