Registration for Turf Bonanza 2024
Turf Bonanza 2024 will take place in Enköping, Sweden's closest Turf City!
Organizers for Bonanza 2024 are the Association Turf Västmanland Län, members from Turf Uppsala and other voluntary turfers and volunteers.
The event is free and open to everyone, both new and old Turfare. You don't have to sign up, you can just show up, BUT - we'd still like you to sign up so we know how many people are coming and can adjust purchases and the like accordingly. (Then, of course, it doesn't matter if you get sick or something and don't show up, even though you registered. You don't have to unregister.)
ARRANGEMENT
The arrangement for Bonanza 2024 looks like this:
· The competition starts on Saturday, September 14
· The event area is in central Enköping and the surrounding area - see approximate area on the map above.
· The size of the competition area depends on the number of zones, which is determined by how many people sign up
· The competition is conducted in two classes:
· Foot class, at 10.30-12.30
· The bicycle class, at 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (note the new time)
· You participate in either the Foot class or the Bicycle class
· You who were born in 2009 or later can register as a junior
RULES
· You must get between the zones without aids, ie
- in the Foot class you must run and/or walk
- in the Bicycle class, electric bicycles are NOT allowed (exception if you have a handicap aid)
· On the turfwiki and on this link you will find the rules of the competition
· Everyone who participates is awarded the Bonanza Participant medal
· The contestants who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in each class conquer
Bonanza Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively
· There is also a prize table in both classes.
COMPETITION CENTER
The competition center is next to Kompassen in Enköping (Kaptensgatan 4), which in turn is close to Stora Coop in Enköping, which also has a large parking lot.
However, there is only 3 hours of parking there with a P-plate, so make sure you have a P-plate if you come by car and move the car after 3 hours at the latest.
Also at Idrottshuset (Torggatan 2A) there is 3-hour parking with a P-plate, but possibly free parking on a Saturday (uncertain, read the signs). Then there are parking lots at Pepparrotsbadet (Husbergsgatan 5), but the parking rules there are unknown to us.
You have to park in marked spaces and it usually costs a penny even on weekends.
· The nearest train station is called Enköping resecentrum, all long-distance trains and Mälardalen commuter trains stop there.
· Changing rooms and toilets are in Kompassen, changing can take place in the toilets. These are available 10am-5pm. If you want to shower, and maybe take a bath, after the competition, you are directed to Peppermint Bath. The swimming pool costs SEK 75 for adults and less for children and young people.
· Toilets are probably also available at Stora Coop.
BANQUET
· A banquet is held during the evening at Kompassen.
· If you want to take part in the banquet, you must register and pay SEK 360 by August 9 2024 at the latest.
Payment instuctions will come in the receipt.
If there are too few registrants, Kompassen has reserved itself because they might not get the economy in the serving, and then we will see what we can come up with for those who have registred. There is also a maximum number of guests of 200, so if the places are sold out when you register, that is unfortunately the case - please register in good time!
· The banquet starts at 18.00 with a non-alcoholic welcome drink from 17.30 (no alcohol at all is served on the premises).
· During the banquet, a Taco buffet is served with many side dishes and both meat and vegetarian protein.
During the banquet, this year's Turf awards will be presented and Turf Bonaza 2025 will also be presented during the evening.

ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation at Kompassen Hotel: single room: SEK 795, double room SEK 995, 4-bed room SEK 1295.
Accommodation at Kompassen in the activity hall (you lie on the floor, own sleeping mat, sleeping bag): SEK 250 per/person, incl. hotel breakfast.
You book this yourself at Kompassen BUT send us a copy, as we have promised to give them statistics. This is paid directly to Kompassen.
Accommodation at Best Western Hotel (Kyrkogatan 7): Here we have a discount when you enter the code "Turf" when booking. Single rooms cost SEK 800 and double rooms SEK 950, breakfast is included in the prices.
