A shared agenda

When: Thursday August 29,
07:30 - 09:30 AM
(Breakfast and registration from 7.30, seminar between 8.00 - 9.30)

WaterAid, RFSU, IPPF and Simavi welcome you to a breakfast seminar where we will explore the links between water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in sustainable development.

Combining SRHR and WASH interventions creates opportunities to bolster health and human rights outcomes, but synergies between the two are not always prioritised, and integrated approaches are limited in both policy and practice.

The new report “A shared agenda” by WaterAid, IPPF, MSI, IWHC, and Simavi will be presented at the seminar. It examines and demonstrates how combined efforts in SRHR and WASH will improve outcomes in health, equality, and attainment of human rights. A dialogue around how WASH, health, and SRHR actors can join forces towards agenda 2030 will follow the presentation and we encourage anyone who works in any of the sectors to join the conversation with the main objective to learn and share experiences.
